Grad school woes.

I have a paper due tomorrow and I am having a hard time staying focused on it. I even left the house to finish writing it. I feel like I am behind and doing this with running a household and being a mother and running my own business is taking its toll. I got a 70 on a test in research this week. I haven´t gotten such a low grade on anything in years. It really gave me a wake up call but with no sleep and no time it is hard to keep my head over water. I know I will be a good counselor. I know that I can do this but not having time to do any work is torture. This summer I got my son into a daycare MWF from 2pm to 5:30pm and I am looking forward to having time to study and to get things done. I might have to have him start sooner. We took the tour of this place and it was great. I think this will be great both for him socially and me psychologically. We don´t have any family here to help us with DS so we are on our own. I don´t have a grandma near by to take him to when I need to breath so this will be great relief.

Well better get back to schoolwork.

Monkey bums are no fun.

DS came down with a really bad rash this weekend and has been going commando most of the time to clear it up. It was sooo bad that we rushed him to urgent care on Saturday and the Dr. prescribed antibiotics and a anti-fungal. His poor privates and bum. It just hurt me to see it. So like I said. he has been wearing either prefolds with or with out wool covers or nothing at all to clear it up.

Umbrella strollers for tall people like myself.

Me and DH have had problems finding strollers here in the states made for people over 5´2. I am 5´10 and DH is 6´3. We bought our super nice heavy, clunky stroller in Iceland. It is a Graco but unlike anything you can get here in the states. It can drive over anything and it has this moses basket that zipps closed and it fitts in the stroller so baby can see you pushing the stroller and is laying flat instead of sitting up. I love it but it is very heavy and hard to get around. We would like an umbrella stroller but the only ones made for giants like us are really pricey and the handle extenders have all gotten really poor reviews.

Teething is no fun.

I miss sleep. DS is getting his top teeth and has had both DH and me up for 4 nights. I had grad school 2 of those evenings. It is hard to consentrate when you have had rough nights and all DS wants it to be held all day long. Except right now. He is in the kitchen doing something that I´m sure he is not suppose to. That is why he sounds so happy. Don´t worry you guys everything dangurose is out of reach for him but he may be making a mess of the recycling or pulling my dishcloths and kitchen towels all over the floor.

He turned 11 months yesterday! Only one more month and he will be 1. We plan on having his Big Day at the Zoo. He loves the animals.

Well he is back and climing on me. Ciao!

It's working!

My move my butt chalenge is working. In a little over a week I have lost 2 pounds. That keeps me right on track for my 5 pounds a month goal. I'm so excited. I didn't change my diet at all. I'm still eating what ever I want ( did make some lasting changes of habit the last time I lost weight). All I am doing is making sure I have some sort of exercise once a day. Normally I run on the treadmill but yesterday I gardened and got some (20) pavers for my veggie garden and I raked up pine needles for a plant I had to transplant from one location to another. Some days when the weather is really nice I take DS out for a walk and we walk for atleast 1.17 miles. I want to have walked/ran over 450 miles this year. I'm keeping track with a google doc that I plug in my distance and I also use google maps to see how many miles I walk.

My in-laws were here this weekend and it was great! My MIL cleaned my kitchen for me and my FIL brought the tiller to till my veggie garden and my flowerbeds. Then on top of that they let me and DH go out shopping, just the two of us. It was amazing.

I also went to a Oklahoma Counseling Assosiation thing on Friday and it was really great. I got to listen to Corry, the guy that has written most of the books we user for our masters degree, lectur and it was very inspirational.
