My huaband took O to the playground last weekend and got some nice shots. I really liked this one. The ball that he is holding use to be my husband's basket ball when he was little. It even has my husbands name on it. My mother in law was nice enough to bring it over the last time they came to visit.

Eurika!

So we figured out why my son was getting so sick the last few weeks. He has been vomiting and 3 nights in a row he threw up all night long. Came to find out that he suddenly could not handle the cows milk before bed. Now that he only gets a little milk here and there through the day he is doing a lot better. Last night was hard though. He is getting teeth and was waking up every hour and man am I beat.

He seems to almost always have nights like this the night before I have a big project do for school and need to be able to work fast while he takes a nap and when he goes to daycare. Today is going to be rough and I think I might finish a full cup of coffee today to try to keep myself going. I really don´t like doing that. A cup is considered safe during pregnancy but I try to keep myself at half a cup each day. I´m just so tired today that writing this blog post is actually an effort.

To do today:
Finish bio for Family Therapy
Type the 2 reaction papers I hand wrote on saturday at Barns & Noble
Read today´s chapter and write a 2 page reaction paper for it
Clean the kitchen
and make it to class on time.

Any extra energy that anybody can give me now would be greatly appreciated.

I think he might be a brake-dancer!

I grow rounder and rounder every day. My belly gets bigger and bigger and each day I enjoy feeling this little bellydweller twist and turn. During my last ultrasound 4 weeks ago the Dr. said that there was loads of fluid there and the baby is happy with all the room to move and boy does he. My belly is all over the place. Sometimes I think he is just brake-dancing in there. The other night I was laying in bed with my husband. I was using my husband as a body pillow so that I was comfortable enough to fall asleep and the baby kicked so hard that my husband thought that the baby was giving him a massage.
People gasp at the sight of me. Wondering if I am carrying twins. I still have 11 weeks left of this pregnancy and I am huge! I can´t imagine what I´m going to look like at the end of this pregnancy. I´ll have my own area code.
My toddler likes the belly. He likes sitting in my lap and using the belly as a back rest. He also likes to climb up on top of my belly and then start bouncing. I keep telling him that he can´t start beating his brother up yet. He isn´t even out of the womb yet. Odinn still thinks this is totally hilarious.

Thank GOD!

DS is not sick. He only had a low grade fever last night because he is getting teeth in. I was so worried about how today would go. How I was going to finish my work. He will be going to daycare today and I will be going to school to study and finish my paper. God I hope I can finish this thing on time.
This morning started off with a bang. My son found one of my candles that was in a glass container. You know, those candles that catholic people use in prayer. He threw it on the floor and is scattered pieces of glass all over the living room floor. I ended up snatching DS up and putting him in his high chair with a snack and started sweeping up the glass. Got the Rumba out and started it. Ended up having to clean the living room this morning even though I was not in the mood. But now my living room is nice and I need to finish the kitchen. At least I was productive. Now back to writing a paper for Family therapy.

Can't Catch a Brake!

So now both my husband and son are running a fever. DH has had a fever for 2 days and DS just started with his. Because of this I am poo out of luck to be able to study. DH is too sick to take care of a sick DS and DS cannot go to daycare. That leaves me what time to study? We also have guests coming this Thursday so I need to keep the house clean.

I don't know how I have made it this far this semester with all the illness going on. I'm actually passing my classes but with all the final projects coming up it is time for this family to get healthy and stop being sick. I can't miss any more school and I need time to study. I have to do a MMPI-2 report, a biography for Cloe Madanes for my Family therapy class (this is due tomorrow and I have a page done), I need to lead a group in my group therapy class and I need to write a group proposal. I don't know how I am going to get all of this done in the next few weeks but it does have to get done and I need to do it well.

I've started on my biography paper on Cloe Madanes. She is still around and is nice enough to answer my e-mails with questions about her life. About my group class, does anybody know a good book with group exercises that can help me with leading my group?

Great Weekend!

We had such a great weekend. Lots of family time. We are all feeling better finally.

Yesterday we went to LaFortune park. The weather was perfect and there were lots of people there. Odinn had soooo much fun playing with all the kids and just sliding and running. He had so much fun the he through a huge fit when we had to leave an hour later. Then we went to Barns & Noble to look for a birthday present for our nephew and Odinn had a great time playing with the wooden train set in the children´s area. It was just such a nice time as a family out of the house.

Then today I was catching up with laundry but we still made time to go to the neighborhood park and Odinn got to play and run and swing. He loved the swing and really didn´t want to get out of it at all. But he was starting to get a little chilly so it was time to go back home.

The sweater that I´m knitting for DS is coming along quickly. I can´t wait to finish it so that I can get started on the next project. I have so many that I want to get started on.

School work is getting being put on hold. I really need to get on it but I just can´t get motivated. I´m going to go straight to school on Monday when I drop Odinn off at daycare and really get down to business on all the homework. I´m just so glad that my son is feeling better and that he can go to daycare.

Couch Potatoes!

That is what me and my son have turned into since we started getting sick. When going to daycare and going outside is not an option anymore we have filled our MythTV with all kinds of cartoons and have watched all of them at least 3 times. It´s sad to see him become such a couch potato but with me not having as much energy with this growing belly and us not being able to go out I can´t do much else. I don´t let him watch all day but a movie a day is quite a bit of TV for a 19 month old.

We decided to check our house for mold. I looked at the symptoms the are listed for problems with mold:
1. Respiratory problems, such as wheezing, and difficulty in breathing
2. Nasal and sinus congestion
3. Eyes-burning, watery, reddened, blurry vision, light sensitivity
4. Dry, hacking cough
5. Sore throat
6. Nose and throat irritation
7. Shortness of breath
8. Chronic fatigue
9. Skin irritation
10. Central nervous system problems (constant headaches, memory problems, and mood changes)
11. Aches and pains
12. Possible fever
13. Diarrhea
14. Possible hemosiderosis
15. Immune suppression

The symptoms that are in bold are the symptoms that we have been suffering from. That is way to many for it not to be the problem. How to fight it is another problem that will end up costing us a pretty penny. Anybody dealt with this problem before and have good tips?

Knitting is coming right along and I will be getting my order of yarn from knit picks in the next few days. I´ll take a pick of the yarn when it gets here. I´m excited.

Thinking about taking over the mommy tea on Thursday since my neighbor is not feeling up to it at the moment. My son just needs to be feeling better before I can commit to it. It´s a great excuse to keep up with my housework as well. This way once a week my bathroom will be clean and my floors clean and all that jazz. This will make Odinn´s toys seem a lot more fun to him as well because he will learn new ways of playing with them when the kids come over. Anyway it´s something to aspire to. I´ll know by Tuesday.

What is With All the Illness in This House?

I'm starting to wonder if there is something in our house that is lowering our immune system. We have now had something going on from a stomach flu to a cold to something else for about 6 weeks now. I got the stomach bug on Thursday night and then had a bad few days after where I could not drink enough liquids or eat enough calories to keep my pregnant body going. By Saturday I was worried that I would have to go in to get an IV to rehydrate me so I wouldn't go into preterm labor. My lips were sooooo dry that I was worried that my lip would just split in two and I was soooo thirsty but every time I took a drink my belly would just reject and make me so nauseous that I couldn't drink any more than a few sips at a time. I forced myself out to trick or treat with DS on Saturday night though and I'm glad I did. My little boy was Yoda and the cutest little Yoda ever. He loved going to houses and handing out his hand for candy. People didn't seem to see him and would want to just put the candy in the bag and he would get disappointed so we would get the candy out and let him put it back in the bag. The great thing was that he had no idea what he was putting in his bag but yesterday he got to try his first lolly pop and he loved it. This morning he found his trick or treat bag, got in it and fished out another lolly pop. Of course we couldn't say no so he got a desert after having a healthy breakfast. He didn't want anything else in his bag. Just that lolly pop. hahah. He will be eating this candy for months. We only went to a hand full of houses but each house gave 3-4 candies so there was plenty of candy after only 10 houses and by that time I couldn't walk any further being dehydrated and pregnant.
