Motherhood and its classy moments.

We had an interesting day today. M started off with having a poo explosion which meant that he had to poo up to his shoulder blades and down to his heals by the time I had him out of the poopy clothes then I bathed him and got him in fresh clothes when I smell O and he was poopy. Well I lay M down to change O´s diaper and M start crying because he was hungry. I hurry up and change O and dress him for the day and then grab M to feed him. Well during M´s feeding he ends up throwing up all over him, me and the boppy. So needless to say M was stripped down and bathed again and got a fresh set of clothes. When that was done I laid him down to strip myself down to get fresh clothes and then I dropped all of our clothes in the washer and washed everything. All this before 10am.
O seams to be teething. If you look at the pic his shirt is wet with drool which he normally doesn´t do. By the end of the evening he was wet all the way down to his pants. Poor guy was just not himself today and yesterday he was throwing tantrums.
I have finished the rabbit except for his scarf. I forgot to make it before I started knitting the pig. I´ve almost finished the pig´s body. Then I will make the scarf to finish this bunny.
ve been blessed with wonderful parents, siblings, and in-laws. My dad, brother, father in law and my husband have finished fencing in my back yard for me and now I can let my son out the back and watch him from the dining room while M has been to sick to take him outside. Poor O has been inside so much that I think if he got any whiter that he would become see through. We got a 6 foot privacy fence so I will be able to play with O in our inflated pool this summer with out worrying if someone can see me. I don´t care if my son sees me in a bikini but I do care if the rest of the world does.
My mom has been great as well. She has cleaned and been so great with the kids. We even got a date night on hubby´s birthday Monday. I nursed M and pumped some and we went out to eat and talked and then came back and M was still asleep. Bottle was never needed.
My dad is now being so great as well. He is fixing up the Attic fan that hasn´t worked since we bought the house. It will save us loads of money when it starts heating up. He just started his retirement and is still adjusting to not having to go to work. I told him that there were plenty of things to do around our house if he is bored. He laughed.

My bunnies, green sprouts and little sprouts.

So M has been really sick the last few days with a bad cold. I´ve had to hold him a lot and not been able to do much of anything until yesterday. My trip to the store to buy the plastic mesh never happened and now I have broken my own rule about knitting everything in order from the book itty bitty toys because I didn´t have the yarn to make the penguin nor the koala so I started on the bunny and I´m almost finished with it. It is a quick knit and fun as well. I finished the chubby bunny from itty bitty nursery except for his face and now I only have a leg and both of the bunny´s feet left to make on the bunny from itty bitty toys. I also used the same organic cotton yarn from knit picks to make this bunny so it is all made with the natural colors and not the pure white and pink. I really like the way it is coming out. I also think I will make a little scarf for this one like the one made for the chubby bunny.
My seeds are sprouting in my window and I am very excited about it. The only thing is that it is going to snow tomorrow.
We also got a new camera yesterday. It was my husbands birthday present but I will be allowed to use it as well and have today to take these pics. I´m amazed at how much better these pics look just because they are taken on a six hundred dollar camera that has amazing auto focus.

Spring Fever and Runny Noses

So I have spring fever pretty bad. I'm starting my seeds and  I keep adding more and more to what I am going to grow. I have so many seeds from over the years and most seeds are good for at least 4 years after you buy them. I have so many packets of good seeds I could plow my whole yard both front and back and grow veggies on the whole plot. If anybody wants some seeds don't hesitate to ask I will send them right over. I have all the seeds that I listed before and lots of tomato seeds and cucumber seeds and a whole bunch of french herb seeds sent to me from France. I think I will end up over planting my beds again this year. I hope I can refrain.
I'm also suffering from a cold and my alergies. I'm breastfeeding so I can't take anything for it. I'm so lucky that my mother is here to help me out. She is coming over today to watch O while I go to the OB for my 6 week postpartum check up. It's not quite been 6 weeks yet. Not till Tuesday but she didn't have an opening for me next week.
Since I have not made it to the store yet to get the plastic mesh for my nesting boxes I decided to finish a project that I had started before M was born. It's from itty bitty nursery  and it's the chubby bunny. I also have the arms and legs done and one hand but I need to finish the other hand the feet and the scarf and then embroider the face. This has been fun and easy. There is not too much stitching and I love all the shaping. It is just such a beautiful toy as well. It is a joy to make. I'm pretty sure I will be able to finish it tonight and give it to the boys to play with. I'm so excited about their reaction.

I have also finished the  blanket for M. It was fun but I didn't want to put the circles on it. I don't have a good pic of it right now because M is actually using it but you can see it in use.

I hope everyone is having a great day!

Hello everyone.
This is what I have finished of project #1 from itty bitty toys. The small nesting box is knitting up very quickly and I'm sure I will be able to do the extra small super quickly. Then I just need to sew them together which is not my fav thing to do. Then I need to go buy some plastic mesh. I have some fabric that I want to use. Like I said I'm really trying not to have to buy much for these projects. I have a huge stash of yarn and I really need to get down to business and use it up. I know these colors don't flow as well as the ones in the book but I don't think my boys will mind much when they start to get to play with them.

Getting things done.

I am one of those lucky women that got a second child that lets her get things done during the day. Today I got 3 loads of laundry done, cleaned the kitchen, cleaned the dinning room, picked up the living room, got some knitting done, colored my mothers hair, took the boys to the Dr. and decided on what I was going to order from Burgess. I just think it is amazing that I can get all of this done because when O was this age he would cry every time I put him down so I held him for the first 3 months of his life. M is just so laid back and easy going. I almost find it to good to be true.
My first project, the nesting boxes, in itty bitty toy knitting is coming right along. I've almost finished knitting the second box and then I only have the 2 smallest boxes left to knit. So they will knit up faster. Then I get to do all of the finishing of the boxes like sewing them together. I'm just using up some of the yarn that I have in my stash for this. I decided to try to use stash yarn for as many of the projects as I can to save money and to just use up some of this stash. My stash is getting out of control. I really need to just work on it.
M went in for his one month baby well exam and he had gained 2 pounds since he was born and grown 2 inches. He is in the 97th percentile in height and a little over the 97th percentile in weight.
Well it's 10pm and I need to get my behind in bed. This is now very late for me. I use to go to bed so late but after having children I now am ready for bed at 9pm. Anyway off to brush my teeth, wash my face and go to bed.
Peace out!
